Have you ever wondered what after-school activity you should do, or what you want your career to be when you graduate? Well, there are school clubs to help you with that you can join a club be welcomed in, and have fun learning, making friends, and creating memories. School clubs like fashion club, and archery, my personal favorite is Key Club.
These school clubs are crucial for students’ personal and academic growth by providing opportunities to develop social skills, and time management, and gain a broader perspective on various interests and career paths. Active club participation can positively impact college admissions and contribute to a well-rounded educational experience. Clubs allow students to pursue their interests and passions, explore new hobbies, develop new skills, and promote leadership and teamwork through collaboration and organizing events.
After interviewing Capital High School students, they all had an idea: that their club held such an importance and sense of warm welcome, community within the clubs, and making new friends/ opportunities. Key Club is a student organization that offers members opportunities to engage in service, build character, develop leadership, and promote inclusiveness. The Key Club member handbook said, “We are caring and competent servant leaders transforming communities worldwide.” Dario Morbello, a senior at Capital High School, said “Key Club can create a strong sense of community” and that Key Club is “highly recommended”.
Anastasia Newman, a junior at Capital High School, said, “Theatre club welcomes new students and creates opportunities for building self-esteem and communication skills through drama.” The theatre club offers an opportunity to have fun while exploring various art forms, including comedy, tragedy, musical theatre, and improvisational theatre.
