November Game Releases
December 1, 2016
Wintertime is usually the time of year where games become released more frequently and November is one of those months where games flow from their producers and into stores in a massive stream. There are many releases for this month and among them are sequels to very popular games in the gaming community. Some of these games include Dishonored 2 and Watch Dogs 2.
Dishonored 2 is the sequel of the original game, Dishonored. Dishonored 2 is a stealth action-adventure game that takes place in the fictional Empire of the Isles. However, much of this game takes place in the coastal city of Karnaca. You can play as one of the two characters that are available: Emily Kaldwin, Empress of Dunwall or her bodyguard and father, Corvo Attano. Emily was usurped of her throne from an otherworldly being and you can choose either character to fight back and regain the throne for Emily. Each character has their own unique set of powers compared to the other. For example, Emily gained a power called Doppelganger, which constructs a clone of Emily and can distract or confuse the enemy while you can get away safely. Corvo has kept his old abilities from the previous game. One of these abilities is Blink, which teleports Corvo to a desired location. However, in addition to teleporting him, time freezes and after he teleports there is damage caused to him due to the momentum of him teleporting to that location. This game is to be released on November 11 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The next game is Watch Dogs 2, sequel of the game Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs 2 is set in a fictional San Francisco where you control Marcus Holloway, a hacker that is a part of a group of hackers called DedSec. DedSec’s main objective is to take down an advanced surveillance system called ctOS 2.0. As a hacker in the game, you can control many things to throw off enemies, aid you in escapes, or just blow stuff up for no reason. This is an open world game meaning that you can roam throughout all of this fiction San Francisco and basically do whatever you want to do. You can blow things up, get into a massive car chase with the police, hack into other people’s phones and figure out who they are and what they do(creepiest quality of the game), or just do the story missions of the game. This is game is set to be released on November 15 on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 and November 29 for PC.
So, these are two of the most anticipated games to come out for November along with a couple other games. If you want to regain the throne using stealth a different powers or hack all sorts of things, I would recommend either of these game for you.
