Capital High Seniors will be conducting Senior Exit Interviews during testing for the other grades. They will be held in the CCRC at specific appointment times and are a requirement for Graduation unless you are a full IB Diploma Student.
What’s important to know is who you are as well as who you want to become after high school to make sure that you are guided and have support to be successful in the future. Students will be asked “Who are you?” “Who do you want to become?” and “How do I become that?” in an interview with a staff and community member. The interview is not hard to pass as long as you have a plan for your future.
If you need help with this, Ms. Smith strongly encourages you to come in and see her to walk you through the process. Ms. Samson conducts some of the interviews, and knows how the process works as well. Tips from the CCRC include bringing your resume, and to have two copies to pass one to the interviewees. By bringing this, you will have talking points for yourself, as well as something to provide the interviewers with. You also want to make sure that you dress appropriately. Think of this as a job interview. You don’t want to come in with skimpy clothing, ripped clothing, or anything bright, keep it simple and classy. When coming in for an interview, you want to be clean and look professional but don’t over-do it with hygeine products like perfume or colonge or you will overwhelm the interviewers.
Seniors, you will do great as long as you have a resume on hand, and a plan. Dress nice. The interviewers are not out to get you, but instead here to make sure you have a plan for your future.
