Care About Space
March 28, 2018
Have you ever seen a picture of where the Earth is in relation to the Milky Way? It’s almost frightening how small and lost in translation we become compare to it all. It starts with Earth, inside our solar system, with possibly tons of other solar system’s with their own planets all inside of the Milky Way. A well known talked about subject in space for many decades has been are there other living forms of life out there? Some would argue that we shouldn’t care about space, how space travel costs too much or how we should focus on improving the planet we currently inhabit now. There’s importance within we should focus on improving the Earth, but also there’s importance to the unknown.
The Earth is our home, it inhabits 7.6 billion as of December 2017. The Earth has been estimated to be around for some 4.54 billion years, meaning it’s been through a lot of man made problems. Eventually all the pressure on Earth will build and not be able to continue inhabiting life.
There are many reasons we should care about space, whether it’s looking for other species, a new planet to inhabit, or exploring the unknown.
It’s a bit overwhelming, but there are many benefits to continuing space travel and to be interested in space.
