William Tyrrell, an Australian born on June 26th, 2011, disappeared on September 12, 2014, at the age of three wearing a Spiderman costume. On September 11th, his parents picked William and his sister up early from daycare and drove from Sydney, Australia, to Kendall, New South Wales, Australia to see his grandma.

The next day, William Tyrrell vanished from his grand-mother’s yard. William was outside, playing in the backyard with his sister. His mother, inside, could hear the two playing.
When his mother no longer heard them, she checked and saw William was gone. After fifteen minutes of searching, she called the police. An investigation was immediately launched. Over 200 people searched the Kendall State Forest, a bush area behind the house, when his scent wasn’t found, they believed he may have been abducted. For a long time, suspicion from the public fell over the parents, they weren’t releasing their identity.

On August of 2017, a judge ruled that they would release their identities and explain why they had been hiding it. William Tyrrell was a foster child, and the Tyrrell’s were ready to keep him permanently. The popular theory is that William’s dad had run errands early in the day and William knew he would be returning. William sometimes ran out to the end of the driveway to wait for him. Any car could have pulled up to the end of the driveway. He could have simply just been abducted. To this day there is still no trace of William Tyrell.
