Turducken is a food that is rapidly becoming popular. It consists of a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken. There is not a distinct origin of turducken but Junior Hebert claims to have invented turducken with his brother Sammy at their butcher shop in Maurice, Louisiana, five miles south of Lafayette, in 1984.

A series of people were questioned whether or not they knew what turducken was and if they were willing to try it.

Stacy Sharpe, whom works at the SB office, “no I’ve never heard of it. I may be willing to try it but that seems like a lot of food”

Jonathan Orf, 12, “No is that some kind of weird food?” After being told what it is, “no I’d never try it. It sounds gross.”

Josefina Marie, 10, “No I don’t think I’ve hear of it. Yes I’d try it because it honestly sounds kind of interesting.”

Max Randich, 12,  “yeah I actually have! I’d love to try it because of what it is. Turkey, duck, and chicken. It all sounds so good.”

Kennedy Wilkerson, 12,  “No I’ve never heard of it. I’d be okay with trying it if it wasn’t for the duck. I’m not a big fan of duck.”

Hayden Fox, 12, “Yes I remember hearing about it on TV. Yes I want to try it, turducken sounds amazing. I’m a food lover so I’d try essentially anything.”

Riley Winters, 12, “No I’ve never even heard of it. I’d be down to try it. I like pretty much anything meat so it sounds really good actually.”

No one seems to have heard of Turducken, but it seems lots are willing to try it. Turducken is a dish that not all have heard of or even willing to try. Only the strong stomached are willing to take on this dish.
